You became a leader to shape the future.

Not spend your days catching up to it

Anticipating Change is a six-week live cohort programme for strategic leaders.

For those who are tired of reacting to change and ready to build organisations that get ahead of it

Eight places. A short conversation first to ensure the right fit.

You're not behind because you're not trying hard enough.

The pace, volume and complexity of change has outpaced the way most leaders were taught to lead.

You're scanning more sources, attending more briefings, tracking more trends — and somehow still feeling like you're missing what matters. The signals are everywhere. The clarity isn't.

And when something does break through — a competitor move, a market shift, a technology you didn't see coming — you're making decisions under pressure that should have been made months earlier.

The cost isn't just personal. When leaders react rather than anticipate, their organisations follow. Strategies built for the world that was. Opportunities missed. Competitors who saw it coming moving first.

You know something significant is shifting. You just can't get ahead of it fast enough.

The result is a kind of leadership that exhausts you.

Responsive. Capable. Perpetually catching up.

That's not why you became a leader.

The difference isn't intelligence.

It's practice.

The leaders who consistently get ahead of disruption aren't smarter or better connected. They're not blessed with some mysterious instinct for the future.

They've built a practice of anticipation.

They scan with discipline — filtering signal from noise. They make sense of what change means for their specific context. They hold multiple futures simultaneously — rather than planning for the one they expect.

And crucially — they act with confidence before the pressure arrives.

That practice is not a personality trait. It's not reserved for futurists or strategists with dedicated research teams.

It's a learnable skill. One that can be built deliberately — and embedded into how you lead every week.

That's what Anticipating Change is built around and why it works differently from anything you've tried before.

What happens inside Anticipating Change

This is not a course where you sit and receive. It's a six-week live experience where you work — with real signals, real decisions and a small cohort of senior leaders who challenge your thinking as much as the programme does.

Every week follows the same rhythm:

Before the session
  • A short seven-minute video

  • The concept — absorbed in your own time

  • Arrive ready to work

The live session
  • Ninety minutes

  • Experiential — not lecture based

  • You'll be doing, not watching

Six weeks of transformation.

From seeing change more clearly — to making sense of what it means — to deciding confidently before the pressure arrives.

You'll leave with a practice you're already using — not a framework to file away.

The cohort is part of the programme.

Anticipating Change runs with a maximum of ten strategic leaders.
Deliberately small.
Carefully selected.

Everyone in the room is navigating real strategic challenges right now. Everyone has genuine organisational responsibility. Everyone is there because they chose to be — not because HR sent them.

That matters more than it might sound.

When you bring a real decision, the leaders challenging your thinking aren't peers in name only. They're senior people from different sectors who see your situation without your blind spots. That cross-sector perspective is something no amount of internal strategy discussion can replicate.

And the relationships built across six weeks of genuine peer challenge tend to last considerably longer than the programme itself.

This is not a networking event dressed up as a learning programme. It's a small, serious cohort of leaders doing real work together.

Who It's For

This is for you if:

✓ You're a mid-senior or senior leader with real strategic responsibility and decisions to make right now

✓ You feel the pressure of change acutely — not just intellectually but in your daily leadership

✓ You're personally motivated to be here — not sent by your organisation

✓ You're ready to be genuinely challenged by peers and by the work

✓ You want to build a lasting practice — not just attend another programme

This probably isn't for you if:

✗ You're looking for a quick framework to hand to your team

✗ You want a self-paced course without real commitment

✗ You don't yet have genuine strategic challenges to bring to the cohort

✗ You're hoping the programme will do the work for you

Why a Professor of Foresight?

I'm Jan Mosedale —

Professor of Foresight

Founder of The FuturesCoach.

Anticipating Change is the programme I designed for leaders who are ready to build their anticipatory practice deliberately.

My academic work focuses on one question: why do some leaders and organisations consistently anticipate disruption while others are perpetually caught off guard — and what is the practical difference between them?

That research doesn't stay in journals. It lives in everything I design and facilitate with leaders.

Most leadership development treats the future as an afterthought. Most foresight work stays at the organisational level — never reaching the individual leaders who need it most. Anticipating Change exists in the gap between those two worlds — where rigorous foresight thinking meets the daily reality of leading under uncertainty.

I designed this programme because most leaders are genuinely capable — and genuinely stuck. Not for lack of intelligence or commitment. But because nobody has ever given them the tools, the practice and the peer environment to build genuinely future-ready organisations.

That's what this is.

The investment

The founding cohort of Anticipating Change is €1,500.

This is a deliberately founding member price — in exchange for your honest feedback throughout and your voice in shaping something that will help many leaders after you.

After the founding cohort the price moves to €2,000.

For six weeks of live experiential learning, a carefully selected peer cohort of senior leaders, and a personal anticipatory practice you'll use for the rest of your leadership — I believe this represents serious value at a fraction of what comparable leadership development costs.
